"In the Spring 2010 semester of grade 9 my son was taking Algebra 1 and found himself struggling to understand the concepts and calculation methodology. He was losing confidence in his ability to succeed in this subject and this was reflected in his grades:  he often did not pass homework assignments, he achieved test scores in the 70s, and barely made a D in the first half of the semester.

In early April 2010 Tristan began tutoring sessions twice a week, with each session being developed based on what he was learning that week in class rather than following a predetermined format. This was instrumental in his improvement since what he learned in class was explained and reinforced in his tutoring sessions, followed by homework assignments to solidify the concepts. By the end of the second half of the semester the change was dramatic: he passed all his homework assignments, he achieved test scores in the 90s, and passed the course with a high C.

Tristan’s tutor was encouraging and reassuring while acknowledging successes, this quickly fostered a renewed confidence in this subject. In addition, two features of the tutoring sessions which encouraged engagement by Tristan was that he did not have to leave home and the sophistication of the venue used to teach was in tandem with his technological knowledge of computers and the internet. "I love eMath360 because it's a different approach to learning math. I have a lot of fun with my teacher, and she works really well with my learning style. Since it's one-on-one, we can spend more or less time on a particular topic if needed, and the assignments aren't too much to handle. "I am very happy with my decision to enroll Daisy in eMath360 math-learning program. She loves the one to one interaction with her teacher. The teaching style and pace is perfect for her.
