Collection of personally identifiable information (PII)
Before using this site, the student and a parent must first complete the registration form and create user names and passwords. In order for us to be able to customize a program for the student and interact with student and parent throughout the educational process, we need for both of you to give us contact information (name, address and email address). We also need some background information about the student’s education, including age, gender, grade, and name and type of school. Once both student and parent are registered, you will interact with us using the user names and passwords you have chosen. The student will also choose a name (typically a first name or nickname) by which he or she wants to be addressed during the educational process. This information is essential for us to be able to deliver our educational services. We do not seek or require any other information from the student as a condition of using our services.
If you decide to purchase our educational services, we request certain PII from the parent on our order form. You must provide contact information and financial information (credit card number, security code, and expiration date) that we will use for billing purposes. If we have trouble processing an order, we may use this information to contact you. Although you will fill out the order form on our site, we use an outside company, First Data, to process the payment information. Consequently, First Data will also have access to your PII and credit card information. We use First Data’s YourPay service. More information about this service is available at FirstData’s website, http://www.firstdata.com/yourpay/ . You will see there that First Data transmits your payment information using an encryption technology called secure socket layer (SSL).

Use of Collected PII
We will use the student’s and the parent’s PII to customize the student’s educational program, to facilitate communication among the student, the parent, and the teacher, and to process your application and order, as described above. In addition, we will use your PII to communicate with you on other matters, as described below.
Students and Parents
All PII collected from the student and all records of our interactions with the student will be available to the parent. We will provide reports of the student’s progress to the parent. We will make audio recordings of the student’s tutorial sessions (which may include other students, depending on the program you choose) and make those recordings available to the parent. The parent can review the student’s PII, direct us to stop collecting PII from the student, or request that the student’s PII be deleted by contacting us as directed below.
Communications from the Site
Based upon the PII you provide us, we will send the student and parent a welcoming email to verify your username and password. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will send you service-related announcements when it is necessary to do so and may also send you information on new programs that we develop. If you do not want to receive information about new programs, please contact us as directed below and let us know.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share the student’s PII with any third parties. As noted above, we use First Data to process payments, which necessitates sharing the parent’s PII and credit card information with them. With that exception, we do not share your PII or profile with any third parties.
We reserve the right to disclose your PII as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.
Access to Personally Identifiable Information
If your PII changes, or if you no longer desire our services, you may correct, update, or delete your PII by contacting us as directed below.
The security of your personal information is important to us. We have policies and procedures in place to protect PII, both during transmission and once we receive it. As we described above, when you enter your payment information on our site, First Data encrypts that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). While we consider these policies and procedures to be adequate, there is still a risk that your PII could be misappropriated. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is completely secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your PII, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you have any questions about security on our site, you can contact us as directed below.
In the event eMath360 goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, we have the right to assign your PII to the other party to the transaction. You will be notified via prominent notice on our site for 30 days of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
